Embossing refers to a specialised technique we employ, distinct from embroidery, that occurs beneath the fabric during the headliner recovery process. This method involves creating a solid image that is positioned underneath the fabric prior to its application, resulting in a raised effect. It is important to note that this process can only be executed during the recovery phase. Please Note: The Ford, Holden, and HSV emblems/logos are currently awaiting confirmation from their marketing teams regarding whether we can use these images for embossings that would generate commercial profit. We are in the process of obtaining written permission and guidance on the proper use of their logos. Additional information will be provided on this page once we receive a response from the relevant parties. In the meantime, we are only offering embossing services for original custom designs that avoid potential copyright issues. We are not completely certain if embossings could infringe on copyrights, so we have paused offering this service for logos/emblems until we receive further confirmation on whether we can proceed. A rough price guide for sizes/shapes and complexity is listed below.

Please ensure that you discuss your requirements with us before submitting a deposit for embossing or any other custom work. This will allow us to prepare accordingly and inform you about the feasibility of your request.
We recommend using a velour headliner fabric for embossings rather than a flat knit fabric. The reason for this is that flat knits tend to have excessive stretch, which can diminish their visual appeal. However, it is still possible to apply embossings to flat knits if desired.

COMMON Q&A’S
Raised front middle section:
A large flat surface is necessary for placing the logo, but the front area of the Ford FG or Holden VE VF presents challenges due to the prominent raised center section, which affects the clarity of the embossing. I suggest utilizing the flat area at the rear of the board or positioning two logos vertically on each side. Alternatively, one logo can be placed vertically in the center of the raised section, but a horizontal placement should be avoided as it distorts the image. We can explore these options further during a phone call or in a face-to-face meeting.
HOLDEN VE VF WM or FORD FG:
Typically, this specific vehicle does not provide sufficient space for embossing due to the elevated central section of the headliner board. A large, flat area is necessary for the embossing to be applied correctly. While the rear section does have a small flat surface available, logos generally appear more appealing when positioned at the front; however, the headliner board does not accommodate this placement. For Ute models, I suggest utilizing the flat area at the rear of the FG Ute model. In the case of VE Utes, we could consider a vertical placement in the center or on the left and right sides.
A: Logo above and below is positioned so passengers can read it up right, this is our recommended position.
B: Logo above is positioned so drivers side can read it up right, but would be upside down for passengers as seen below image.
PAY A DEPOSIT:
It is essential to be completely certain about your decision regarding the embossing, as this is a custom order and not a standard factory option. Once the item is processed, we will need to proceed with the exchange to ensure we have a standard item available for refurbishment for future customers, particularly if you choose the fast exchange option available for our most popular makes and models.
To facilitate this process, we require a non-refundable deposit to be applied towards the total cost.
